Just back from a weekend in the country.

Whilst there, I hit a fox with my car "side on". I was driving and the next thing, the fox appeared at the drivers side of the car. I must have hit it side on. Anyway, the damage is as follows:

1. There is a very small scratch/dent at the bottom of the left hand corner at the front.

2. The wing is slightly misaligned (about 2cm).

3. The plastic part of the inside wheel arch is all cracked and broken.

I am reluctant to go through my insurance unless I have to. Where do I take the car to get repaired in the Glasgow area? Have you any idea of cost?

The car is driving ok with no sinister noises or feeling. The car is a Fiat Grande Punto 1.2 active.

To be honest, I can live with the small scratch/dent, but want to get the other 2 things seen to.

arch liner you 'may' be able to get from fiat.

failing that a breakers network will find you a grande punto and pull an arch liner out for you.


the new part from fiat may not exist yet.

I know in the bodyworks near me they are having difficulties with a new audi allroad and a lexus 350 saloon thing (like the one on dael and pasco), they can't get new body parts for either so the cars have been there for over 2months waiting and waiting.
