spraying?.... help :p

now, on the front of my bonnet, its chipped alot, and it really looks a mess up close.

now what im wondering, its just the front bit at the angle, circled in the attached picture, now would i be able to spray this with paint, then lacquer from halfords and it would look good? or would the whole bonnet need spraying? would it like blend in, or not? lol

It's metallic paint, impossible even for the experts to blend perfectly on a small patch. And that's assuming you get a good paint match in the first place. I would do the whole bonnet and see if you can get somewhere to custom match the paint by shade, not just by code.

metalic paint is hard to match pal,I know i ve just sprayed my cinq bonnet and it looks crap, your best bet would be get a good match, then a compressor, and sand and spray the whole bonnet, pleanty of laquer, then wash the whole car and t-cut it and c how it looks

Well yeah but it only works when there's one or two, not a whole bonnetful

Thats a full bonnet respray. I've tried touching up bonnets like that before. Salesmen always think we can work miracles just so they don't have to put it through the bodyshop and eat their commision. but you cant do it!

Not to a level you would be happy with anyway.
