Hi,after countless problems with halfords and there lack of ability to mix paint properly i decided to order paint from paint4u online so hopefully it will match

the colour is a metalic blue, what colour of primer should be used?

thanks for your help

You're not going to get a paint match ordering paint off the internet. You need to use colour chips to get the shade correct.

Grey primer will do the job though...

hi mate where do you live, i can't believe you dont have a paint bodyshop supplier in your area we have loads in madchester, for every paint code there are usualy 3 or 4 different shades, sometimes age related, eg titan silver on a bmw 99 is not the same as 2002 colour, i would advise you take your car along and get them to match it properly, as matching fiat paint isn't as spot on as some manufactures like bmw i can paint a wing in no1 shade every time and bolt it on and eh! presto bang on, if in doubt fade out, as for the primer all these new colours require a certain coloured primer i use a tintable one, as the paint doesn't cover, the stuff i use mostly is a new one from kent, and is black, with a built in guide coat, top stuff and everthing goes over it apart from red, dont go to halfwits for anything Ant!
