I'm thinking of adding a self-adhesive badge to my car. I've never modified my car before so can someone tell me:

  • If I decide for whatever reason to take if off, would the adhesive leave any markings on the car? Is so, how can I get rid of it?
  • This might sound stupid, but the self-adhesive badge is not affected by weather (e.g. rain, wind etc) i.e. it won't fall off, right?

Thanks! :)

the paint wont actually fade, the laquer will, this is restorable.,.,
if you wont to remove an adhiesive badge just pour some hot water on it to soften the glue or use a hairdryer, heatgun and it should come off pretty easy.,,,

On this theme, I was wondering where I could get an additional badge for my Stilo like Bo-Select@ has, with S T I L O across the boot. I like it but don't know where to get the letters! Any ideas?

Finally got round to taking off my fiat badge today- unfortunately there is a fair difference between the paint around it and the paint underneath, so checked on ebay for the italia fiat badges (with the red, white and green on them instead of blue) and found this too:

too much?!

I had thought about spacing the stilo letters out, as I'd said earlier in the thread, but think the paint difference will rule that out now. Gave it a polish with some turtle wax and it's still pretty noticable

you want to get some T-Cut original for that - polish is not quite enough.

Tcut so it matches and then plaster on wax/polish to preserve the finish.

Coolio, I'll get some tomorrow and see how it goes, if it looks ok under the fiat badge then the stilo badge also comes off! Cheers! :)
