I'm about to repaint my alloys (can't see the benefit of paying for a pro refurb, as I may only keep the car a year or so) so I'm just snading and filling any scuffs so I can respray my alloys myself, but...

Where can I get paint the right colour so it will look like the Shadow chrome finish? I'm hoping there'l lbe paint suppliers who can do that colour?
Or does anyone know a particular paint code or anything?

At the moment my car looks quite funny on old steelies! I thought leaving the hubcaps off would look a bit meaner! Rat-look! Might leave them on for Donny if I havent repsrayed the alloys yet!

you won't be able to buy shadow chrome as a colour as it's a special powder coating. The only thing you can do is find the brightest silver you can Then go over it with some lacquer with blak paint mixed in it.

I've just found out that nowhere local to me can powdercaot in Shaow chomre?? WTF is that all about!? Surely there's tonnes of finishes they can acheive?
May have to DIY bodge it and just repaint the curbed lip without repainting the whole lot! Worked for me OK in the past!

graphite looks good, pop down to colchester just past roller world on the left at bottom of industrial bit, there a place there with lots of diffrtent colours of powder coat, he will show you them on squares of metal

Cheers Dave, do you know their name? I may phone them to get a price.
Anywhere local I've found ~£35 a wheel say they wont attempt shadow chrome! I found a place 'Wicked-wheels.co.uk' who can, but at £65+VAT per wheel, which apparently is cheap!

I went to a paintshop, and they told me you couldn't pay them enough to attempt to paint it, which is crazy, cos surely a paint colour that looks similar isn't asking too much!?! Apparently they can't acheive the same colour with a paint, which I dont understand!

May just do what I've done in the past, which is to just mask off and repaint the damaged lip only, using a standard can of Dark steel wheel paint. If I do the whole lip it wont notice unless you really look closely cos the join will be on a ridge
