Right, I'm getting a spoiler for the cinq from the scrappy tomorrow, It's bonded on and I'm just wondering the best way to remove it. It's an original Abarth so is quite sturdy. It's gonna get re-sprayed so i don't care If I scratch it.

Should I try and wedge a screwdriver under and lever it, or try and slide a knife under to separate it?

This could be very dodgey to remove if its made up of polly it will imo break as you try to remove it :bang: is it possible to cut around it with hammer/chissle at least you will then get it off in one piece and then give you a better look at how to remove the pieces of metal on the spoiler only a suggestion this but it might work good luck (y)

it's sturdy as hell. And it is loose on one side. also the paint is flaking at the other from the twist in the bootlid, so I'm hoping it should come off ok. If not I'll get the yard to torch the bootlid off and I'll surgically remove it at home.

use fishing wire, or winscreen cheese wire if you can get a bit

Fuzzy bro you been watching to much Holby ad ER :D wont want you operating on me

Wire? Screwdrivers? Are you all completely mad lol! :D The best way to remove it is to use either a plastic filler spatula or an old credit card. I would spray around the spoiler with WD40 or panel prep first & let it soak in a bit, then slip the spatula underneath & scrape along the spoiler (gently) to release it.(y)

fishing wire wont scratch nothing nor does the windscreen wire, and takes only seconds

It'll still take longer, much easier to use a spatula, then you can push it through the old sealant. (y)

like I said, it doesn't matter what we scratch as The spoiler will need smoothing and painting, and the boot is seriously fecked so no-one'll want to buy it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
