Got a phone call at 6pm, oh hi, yeah its jenn from downstairs, I am in nickies flat.

oh yeah, with the red punto right?

Yeah thats mine, listen I just accidently drove into the side of your car, I think I hit the door, just thought I'd tell you.

uh huh, what do you mean you have hit my car (didn't believe her as I already had two near fatal accidents and a parking ticket today, and I ahve just lost a £20 note at the gym somewhere).

I hit the bumper bit aswell, I think it was the old one on the back, I saw you putting a new one on the front i didn't hit that.

went on like that, basically she has managed to stall, lurch into the rear bumper (right side), right on the rim of the wheelarch, and knock a load of paint off (down to primer in most places, and where it is grazed/made contact looks cracked thru and I can see red and black (original colour of bumper), and sheared the bolt that holds it to the wing, wing might be damaged but can't see with my torch.

She then went on, tried again to park, and hit my drivers door, it has caused a graze and a minor dent, which I might be able to push out/polish out.

I mean I am gratefull she phoned me and told me truthfully what she did, but she has hit so many other peoples cars out and about, and has had two front wings and three front bumpers since september here at uni.

She has written off her car and another persons in another parking accident last year, and a few months after having this red punto she has now, has run someone over (big dent in bonnet), she really can't drive.

If she would be to claim on insurace (she is only third party on her parents AFAIK) she would never be able to afford to drive again. BUt all things being equal this is sort of a blessing for me, as my effort at painting bumpers was good, but paint was ****e, so I think I should get a quote to get bumper stripped back, re primed painted and refitted proffesionally, something like £100-150 is right I would reckon. And charge her for it, I mean its either £150 or you never drive you sorry looking V reg pink (formally red, never been cared for in its life) punto.

What do you guys and gals reckon? I want to sort it tommorrow. can't leave it too long as insurance won't buy it.

you know what the date is today?

:D although by the sounds of it shes just generally cursed!

I'd go with the first plan: get a quote for repairs and have her pay for it. And make her sign an agreement that she's not allowed to drive her car within 100 yards of yours! :p

That's not your problem. Go through insurance. Jobs settled outside of insurance tend to be done on the cheap.

shall I do it then, I will have to take my alloys off again, as I never got round to declaring them yesterday, my phone died when I was on hold, ran out of credit.

Yes I know its friday the 13th, but I have never 'had one' before. If I add everything that has gone wrong today with car/crash/gym loss/stinking parking ticket, tis like £250+

I think I will go thru insurance as I want a proper job done, and she really shouldn't be on road.

is she fit... perhaps there are other ways she could make up for it?

I have posted this on other forums too, and that is the general concensus.

But she ain't that fit, and Anna would drop me, and TBH she is worth more than my cars are to me.:worship:

and I would rather my car was fixed, rather than 1night (it would have to be all night) of, whatever her thing is. She's kind of gothy, but with a hint of instabilty and possible insanity.(y)

well I've been and talked to her, and as far as she is concerned a phone call to tell me she wrecked my three week old bumper is payment enough.
She seems to think that because only some paint is missing any more paint loss will be my fault? and that its just wear and tear, I want to kill her.

I am going to insurane as she is obviously not interested in being resonable.

Hmmm... easy now! Goth Bird is likely to whoop your ass and then claim Marylin Manson's muzac made her do it! But seriously... Stilo got tapped up the arse by a bus last week, got it checked and its just needs very slight bumper re-alignment... Bus driver gave me wrong no. for his garage, so just as well its not serious.. some folk eh?

I have to say I agree with the insurance route. I had a bump recently that the other person paid cash for at their usual bodyshop and the result was pish poor. Also she is being difficult so let your company do the work, that's what you pay them a small fortune for! If I were her I would be thinking about taking some more lessons or being more careful!

from what I have seen, heard, witnessed (been in car briefly with her), she can't drive, she really doesn't have a clue, she is one of the few people where I think I should go out of my way to make sure she remains off the road. Like the 90+ year olds that take 4seconds to brake after hitting somebody!!

Just saw this - naff luck you're havign recently!

Deffiantly go through the insurance, especially if she's being bitchy about not having to pay for it. Sorry but she's gotta be one of those (weird gothy) people that dont realise that some of their actions contribute to somebody else losong out on others things.

Have you got any pictures of the damage?

Just like hmallet says, go through the insurance as its not your problem she drives like a muppet and has had more bangs than jo guest! She should use public transport, that way the roads would be a bit safer!!
