Not a happy bunny

Rite, was walking through the car park at lunchtime and de-toured to have a look at your car, even thow its soooo dirty :p the paint looks a pretty excellent match (and the cars lowering springs look gud too btw. Me and matt (bad_boy_cinq) couldnt really see the difference its that good, but why are your bumb strips in primer still, especially at the front seeing as it was re-sprayed!

The whole bumper didn't get sprayed, only one section of it - so if you looked at the wrong bit of course it matches the rest of the car :). Pete took a look on Monday and agreed the orange peel effect and flatness of tone just isn't the same. The bump strips are still in primer because there wasn't one single weekend over the summer where it was dry both days and it's getting resprayed next month anyway.

My old car was in a body shop once and had primer over a bit that wasnt damaged when it was rear ended- they wouldnt tell me what it was for, so when I got it back told the insurance company (as it didnt match) and they were none to pleased either.

Muppets probably bumped it- thing is it was a front wing and while they were at it they could have done the bit where some bugger keyed it

Sorry to hear that you used those useless wnkers at Fell's, I took my 2nd car there (a rover 100, read metro, in blue, with body bumpers etc), to get rear left wing replaced and sprayed as it was starting to rot.

First time I went back they hadn't done anything.
Then they'd painted it AND the window, AND the rear screen, useless git,
Back again, and colour has completley changed, I mean it is mean't to be blue as in near sky blue and they had done it in like ocean blue (colour of darker blue on forum header), and they had torn the wheel arch liner, sheared the bolt that holds the sill protectors on and scratched the rear bumper to the point where most of the rear bumper on the left had lost its paint due to flaking and peeling (was mint when it arrived).
Total total incompetant wasarks, did it myself in the end, got full refund for what they had done, but still left with a damaged car (They later payed for rear bumper to be resprayed by another paint shop).

Is the van driver not paying??

And it sounds like they have just used a grey of some sort maybe mixed with a bit of blue to bring it up. Should have used metallic paint.

Seriously, you have paid (probably a lot, have just been stunned by the fact I have saved myself £270 on the price of spraying my newly acquired bumpers, thats when I have spent £60 on paint!! and its a damn fine job now, really quite perfect!!) to do a job they should do it, if not take them to small claims court etc.

I have sprayed metallic before on a saab 900 (was sort of silver and blue and grey at the same time, never figured out which), 2weeks and £80 of paint later I had a match and it was absolutely on the money!!! Very pleased with it.

Helena - got a quick look at your car yesterday in the lot, i noticed you had rubbed the dirt off it at the front, but wasnt sure where you meant to look, is it past the centre and just as the bumper begins to curve just a little from the light? If so, i think i see where you mean and when clean i agree will look alot flatter. Shame! But at least you're gettin it resprayed soon
.............pink though............

One clean bit is standard and the other bit patched up - they only did one small patch. Can't wait to go pink (lambo mauve technically), now booked in for New Year (NOT at Fells - SBS) :D

Where are you from round here then faster4tec? I didn't pay for this, the company that owned the van paid for it to be done since I came back to the car to find a towbar sticking out of my bumper ;) It is ridiculous that you paid them to do a job that they couldn't even finish!

Really??? Cool, I didnt know dave was starting up SBS again, i thought it was a bit strange shuttin down like that for health reasons permantely, at is age:confused: Kool you remembered t look, i was gona borrow sum tissues to clean the front of your car incase you hadnt just so i could see it

I would say that i wana b one of the first to see it once its sprayed...but i dont think anybody Wouldnt see it once its sprayed :p

Dave is starting up again but taking it slower this time and just working on one project at a time and mine is an easy one to get him going with as bodywork is pretty standard fit and respray is a simple colour (none of this fancy flip/ glitter stuff). He's based up at Longtown and can be contacted via PM on CWC :) A lot of the problem was down to Kingsmoor Park upping the rents to stupid levels, they've forced Batcars out as well who AFAIK haven't found new premises yet.

Just found that out recently when i was tlkin to a joe austin about it last night. Lol funnily enough we were on a 'lads night out' and matts new cinq snapped its accelerator cable so he stayed at his gf's house which is luckily where it broke anyway, and he was going back this morning to put a spare in. Sarah is getting his old cinq as standard with a new engine in - poor car lol :p
