doing tinted lights???

Just to add to the confusion, My mate tinted his rear Astra lights with window tint spray and it looks lovely.

Not keyed either BUT it does seem like over the last 4 months it is beginning to wear off AND hes been advised then when MOT comes this will be a good thing as they will definately not be too dark.

he shouldnt have used window tint spray thats for glass, he should use light tinting spray, thats for plastic

:yeahthat:, cus window tint spray is meant for the inside of the windows where it is not intended to undergo the rigours of the outside world such as on lights, whereas light tint spray is just a lightly tinted laquer and is more durable and meant for the outside of the car.

True, the only reason he did is cause I had some lying about and it seemed like a good idea at the time... they are definately fading but for test purposes we concluded that the light tinted look "da lick"!

Will do it properly next time, washes off easy with white spirit.

Hey Minty!

Finally had my car back after 7 weeks being repaired. £1367 it cost to fix!

But you know the dent that it had in it's side - GONE! All Fixed. Like new. 2 new doors, mouldings, decals, new rear quater panel, all new locks, new wing mirror, door seals, hinges.

Had the lot done!!:slayer: :slayer: :slayer: :slayer: :slayer: :slayer:

I'll post pics over the weekend.

sounds like it'\s reacting with something on the lenses. Chemical reaction.

Try cleaning the lenses thouroghly first with white spirit or meths or something like that to get all the grease etc off.

Don't bother doing another coat until you do this. It won't go.
