it is bad
if going through insurer they will write it off because to bring back to oe spec it would need a complete rear quarter panel and doing this repair is now advised against by thatcham because of pas and corporate responibility law

a good local bodyman can do that for £400 find out who local car traders use and recommend, you wont find this man in a posh setup but his skill is in his hands not in a posh sign on the road front

£400 seems very low?

Is that a new shape fiesta? Can't see an insurance company writing it off for that if it's all on the quarter panel. Although it would depend on what damage has been done behind if say the inner sill is bent. It wouldn't hurt to get a proper quote from an approved bodyshop.

No way could that be done professionally for £400. Who can tell what hidden damage is there, and I can't see which model of Fiesta it is. If it is the latest one it wouldn't be written off, but if it is an earlier, or indeed old car, then the value of the car will indeed be less than the cost of the repair.

If you can find a bloke with all the correct jigs and tools, and paint shop, to do it for £400, then go with that.

I very much doubt that you will, however.

Very best of luck anyway, what a bummer!
