I got into a car accident 2 days ago. It was raining really hard and I hydroplaned into a truck parked on the side of the road. The front left side is smashed in, the headlight is destroyed and I think there might be some radiator damage. EDIT: The passenger door doesn't open all the way due to the damage on that side of the car.

This is my first car, so I'd really appreciate some help trying to determine how much the damages are going to cost. The car has full coverage, but I'm not on the insurance.

The car is a 2013 Fiat 500 Pop.

Right...so you weren't insured to drive the vehicle?

No, I'm not. I understand what I did wrong and that I'm at fault.Which is why I'm here, trying to estimate how much the damage is going to cost out of pocket.

Oops....Despite the car having full coverage that is only valid to the policy holder not to a non insured driver, you shouldn't of been driving the car if you're not either named driver or policy holder.

It's best you confess to the policy holder of this incident, but piccies will help give you a rough idea.

The policy holder already knows of the situation. I know the insurance isn't going to cover it because I'm not on the insurance, I was just hoping that someone could help me determine how much it might cost out of pocket.I'm attempting to post pictures, but my phone won't send them to my e-mail. I'll keep trying.

without seeing the damage its impossible to assess

I dunno what the car is worth in the US or what the repair costs are like that side of the pond but...

if panel gaps have closed up and doors don't open properly then you could find its a total loss.

these cars don't take a lot of abuse, they're only small, however the bodywork these days is largely garnish so you need to see whats going on underneath it

I suspect it's Malaysia - NOT the US of A,
either way parts+ labour prices may be VASTLY different to here,
as may driving styles..!!,
a 6 month old car may be already covered in parking dents= so you'll NOT be looking for a "good-as-new" repair,
just acceptably tidy + functional.

(the website says I have to have 5 posts before posting pics, so I'll have them up in a bit)

Ouchie!
I thought my crash damage was bad,but seeing yours well lets say yours is bad:D
without knowing the prices of parts over there,i couldnt give prices but from what i can see in the pictures, you will possibly need a new O/S wing , new Bonnet (or hood, whatever you call it over there!), new O/S headlight , but if theres any structural damage then i'd say it'd be a total loss, but you cant really tell much from those photos im afraid, apart from the items i said is what i think it may need to make it a complete car again and believe it'll be costly repair!!!!
my car was in a crash yesterday and is costing the third-party (person at blame) £550 inc VAT which over there would cost $841.62 i dread to think how much you're car will cost to repair considering its much newer than mine!!!

good luck!

I was afraid of that. If it's going to be expensive, I'll just have to save up for it. I don't know much about automotive, but the radiator took some damage, as well as the alignment, from what I could see. Of course, functionality takes priority over cosmetic. So, fixing the important things comes first. I was just hoping someone could help me estimate the damage. :/

Then you'd need a new radiator if current took some damage, check all major components like crash panel, x-member etc check for any play in the wheels. All things that are damaged will just add to the cost im afraid.best thing you can do is ebay most of the stuff to get a rough idea what your looking at, but dont have a heart attack when you total it all up!:p

Just be more careful in the future:thumbup:

Every time I open one of the pictures it takes me to an upload page for which ever hosting site you used.

From what I can see its pretty significant, did airbags deploy? Would be better if you could upload to this site and get some wider shots of the whole car

I'm sorry. I'm at work right now and our computers are old fossil computers, so it probably messed with the html. I'll see if I can fix it when I get home. Sorry about that.Airbags didn't deploy.
