Today i have tried my Chip-ex kit on my "Tango" grande punto.

So whats in the kit?
- Paint (obviously!)
-Blending solution (this is what makes the chip ex kit easy to use and unique to other kits)
-Scratch remover polish (basicaly a cutting compound polish)
-Micro brushes (these are like little cotton buds with bristely ends to hold the paint and make it really easy to blob the paint abround)
-Cleaning and polishing cloths (speaks for it self)
-A opair of protective rubber gloves (you need these for the smaller chips)
-Full instructions (easy to read instructions and comes with a hand full of tips for the best reasults)(there are also vidios on the chip-ex website and on you tube for further guidence)

Now for this i concntrated on one little chip on the bonnet no less.

as you can see its a nice little chip to try this out on. 1st i did was cleande the area. The car was washed yesterday so as instructed i used the blending solution to clean the area further. I then shook the paint well and placed a blob of paint on the chip and waited about 5 minuits for that to dry.

As you can see the chip has been filled in by the paint. I then used the blending solution and cloth to "blend" the chip basicaly it levels of the chip to be level with the rest of the paint for deeper chips a few blobs of paint can be applied as paint shrinks as it dries.
After the blendind solution I polished the area with a micro fiber cloth and the supplied polish this is the reasult.

Now i took these pictures with my mobile and there not perfect. But as you can see it has made an improvement. Now i wouldnt say the mack was 100% accurate but that is very hard to do with an aftermarket product and I belive my bonnet has been resprayed in a former life so will have to try some other parts of the car to see.

Overall i am very impressed with the reasults. Im the kind of person that will use a touch up brush and wet and dry paper only to make the chip worse but with the chip ex kit I have recived better reasults in less time and effort.
It is not the cheapest of kits and its deffinatly not the dearest.
So all together I would give it a solid 8/10 and would throughly recomend it to anyone with a chip problem.

Hope this is some help to you please feel free to comment or ask questions and i will try and give you the best answer i can.

Jordan.
