Hi I've recently bought a 1.9 120t 8 valve multijet bravo which has 17 inch wheels and 45 profile tyre. The car looks nice but needs lowered, as I'm a bit clueless I was wondering if I could get advice on lowering springsand if there would be anything else I would need. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

it all depends on what drop you want to achieve..

ebaich springs are a well known company, allot of users on here use them, including myself usual drop around 40-50mm

anything lower and you will need coilovers

I'm running on 50mm ebaich's all round, great improvement on handling, rides ok, harsher than standard but not as bad as some -30mm cars i have been in, speed bumps are not something that need to be avoided but do need to be preplanned!

I've got the same variation of the 1.9JTD but the Grande instead. I fitted Pro Eibach Springs last week and they're only a 30mm drop.

One problem I have is seriously rubbing arches when cornering, probably due to the big lump of a 1.9 diesel. I'll be investing in coil overs before I've got no tyres left.

And don't forget to mention it to your insurance. My lad's insurer wasn't happy at all with lowering. changed to Admiral & they were OK with anything up to 50mm.
