Right, so i'm attempting my first 'bodywork' mod myself.
I've prepped and primed my spoiler and wing mirrors. After messing up the primer on the spoiler 3 or 4 times i finally have it sprayed, and looking good.
However, on the wing mirrors i've just messed up the second coat of paint. Am i able to lightly sand it down and try again, or do i have to go back to propper sand/prime/paint again. Human nature is to get it done quick, however if i have to strip then prime again i'll have to do it.
I had a hair stuck in the wet paint, and smudged it when removing the hair. Then tried to 'smooth' the imperfection and it went worse. So made the rookie error of 'dabbing' a cloth on it, which went WRONG. Oops, so can i give it a quick light sand with 1200 wet & dry? Or do i have to 400, 800 then prime it.
Cheers,
James
