So im looking to repair various scratches and chips on my punto. Some of them feel pretty deep and i think its gone down to the bare metal in some cases not too sure though. I would like to know if this is fixable with a bit of DIY or is it best to get a proffesional to take care of it as i have no car painting experience. Also how much is this looking to cost if done proffesionally? Thanks in advance.

You could probably get a decent improvement just with a touch up pen, but very difficult to get it to vanish!

On the wheel arch, ideally a chip-away type person would be able to get it pretty hard to see, you could try it yourself, keep filling with topup until level with paintwork and polish back a little, but if you start wet-flatting on the edge you may very easily to through the paintwork and make it work.

On the front of the car, try using a very fine brush or even cocktail stick to very slowly fill the little holes, takes lots of patience though.

I'm no way an expert bu trial and error on my previous cars has led to this advice.

keep touching in with a cocktail stick type apparatus till you get the paint up to the same level as factory
its never going to be an invisible repair though because you will find the paint colour will vary due to metal and plastics fading at different degrees
better than a scratch/chunk missing though
