new door skin perhaps, but still shouldn't cost that much! they either don't want the work or ripping you off. that's why you get lots of quotes rather than just the one.

Of course there are sharks out there! i'm just aware of what is done in the local vauxhall dealer bodyshop, where someone i know works, probably the best place in my town, hence why other dealers including the local VAG dealer use them. Not the cheapest place but not a rip off either!

But you're in Weston-S-Mare and he's in Diss, Norfolk! He wont get close to that quote range if as you say is correct "other dealers including the local VAG dealer use them."

Just had a quote for £200! for all the side pannels!

Glad you got it sorted! bit late to offer any guestimates but i had a dint and 2 creases in my old mk2 on the rear quarter, i had an excelent repair job done on it for £260
