Hi,

I need to know what's the approx cost of replacing Fiat Punto Rear Panel 5 Dr (99>) due to damage and poor repair by previous owner.

I can buy it for about £50-£60 from ebay or nicedeals but not sure how difficult is to replace it, I assume its part of chassis so needs cutting/welding? Anyone recommends body shop or garage which will do for cheap in North London (Hertfordshire)

yes will need cutting/welding not a small job by any means, insurance would write the car off if it wasn't repairable without replacement, so nowheres going to do it cheap.

Probably better of selling it and getting another car rather than replacing it.

Thanks, I think I just keep it as it is then, cant afford to buy another car anytime soon. Shame as car is OK apart from rear panel repair

replace is around £1,000 a good panel beater should be able to fix the one you have for around £300 though

If you could bring it to staffordshire and leave it with me a couple of days id weld you the said panel in for £150,thats welded in and in primer!
depending what colour it is i might even paint it for an extra £40.

The panel had enough beating, dont think anything can be done apart from Rear Panel replacement, but decided to keep it as it is, will sell a car in a year anyway.
