I will need a new bumper and also paintwork painted. He is verbally aggressive and refuses to help pay for the damage.
He won't give me insurance details either.
Looks like we will be out of pocket and he gets off scot free!
I witnessed the bump.
Ideas of cost and best way forward?

if you do go through insurance ring yours and give them his reg number they will be able to trace his insurer from that

Or simply get even. Before you get bumper changed, ram into his car.

Someone cracked my front number plate and was really anal about it when told that I'd got evidence of them doing it, and unfortunatly I forgot about my towbar a few months later and my car sort of accidently on purpose done a better job to theirs

I wouldn't reccomend doing that though, tit for tat stuff like that can escalate quickly and before long you will have your wall kicked down or windows smashed. Not cool imo!

Like the above 2 have said,

Give his registration to your insurance company and explain the situation & they can trace it back, and call the police so they pay him in a visit if he's still being aggressive & evasive over it.

Well I wouldn't have done it to a pikey, but most of them are inbred around here, so wouldn't dare taking on an outsider

Use AskMid.co.uk to get his insurance details, speak to police or just call your insurer.

Thanks to everyone, I am going to try that web address to trace his insurance. I have also phoned police who are going to pay him a wee visit, many thanks.
