Hi,
I have used this item on my rear lights it has tinted them good and dark and shiny but i sprayed too much and it has run the tint spray.

I want to take it all off and start again but it wont come off???

I tryed scrubbing with white spirit i have lleft it to soak in a bucket full on 10 litres of white spirit and it still wont come off.

I thought this stuff was easy to remove it wont even come off my hands with white spirit what else can i use to remove it????

Please help asap i have no rear lights now and i am unable to use my car

Cheers
Brin

use a hair dryer and heat the spray for like 5-10 min then rub them with some petrol.......

i just spray mine and thay have come out really nice...:D

you have to take your time as this stuff runs like mad if put on to much
so spray every 10-15 min each time.......

right i got it off with nail vanish remover but now its left some white patches and some dull spots on it, i tryed using glass cleaner, window polish, plastic polish, tar remover, some autoglym product lol but nothing works i dont wanna redo them over dull patches cos itll just go dull

BTW the tine spray has left my lights cracked:bang: all the inside of my light cover has tiny cracks all over it

Are the lenses actualy cracked? Sounds to me that thd tint paint has cracked on removel. Try another coat of that nail suff you used. See if the cracks faid. If not then sounds like you may need new lights to me. Or try hiding the cracks by tin ing them again.just apply tint in thin coats.allow to dry for half hour inbetween coats. Basicly just take your time and it shouldnt run.

The cracking is probably caused by the solvents you used to remove the tint, rather than by the tint spray. White spirit, acetone, cellulose thinners and alcohol will all attack certain plastics, causing stress cracks or softening.

You say that the cracks are on the inside, so it was probably soaking in a bucket of white spirit that did the damage.
The white patches were probably caused by the acetone softening the surface of the plastic.

Odds are the cracking will get worse over time - best to just buy some pre-tinted light units.

Nah the lights i noticed had started cracking after appling tint spray before i tryed removing it lol

I only left healf of one light soaking in white spirit and both wer cracked all way down lol.

The white patches i think its cos the nail vanish remover turns the tint spray back to liquid form and it is not all coming of then when it drys again leaves patches of tint in places matbe

Maybe the cracks were there all the time - I can't how spraying the outside would cause cracks on the inside.

If the white patches are just on the surface, polish will remove them. Try something more abrasive, like Solvol Autosol (chrome polish) or rubbing compound (for cutting back paint).
If they won't polish out, the plastic has been attacked by a solvent.

i used cellulose thiner on mine and it worked beautifully without cracking or changing the look of my lights.. just a bit of rubbing and all gone :D
