how easy would it be to paint a centre console in black, thats very glossy so i matched my cd player!

do i just go to halfrauds and get a can of black paint and a can of lacqure and primer and add lots of coats of lacqure to achieve the glossy effect?

ive painted a quite a few things with halfrauds spray cans, never gone for this look thiough!:slayer:

just buy a can of gloss black, is pretty 'glossy' on its own, you don't really need a laquer but it won't hurt if u put one on.

Just make sure you use plastic primer and prepare it really well, otherwise you could get flakey paint.

yeah e primer and lacqure already, ive only ever painted in silver and audi gray so wasnt really a hard colour to do!

painting is 95% preparation. you wanna use 600 grit paper to scratch it up and make a good key for the paint to grip and that. you will probably know the rest, but i would put on at least 3 layers of paint and then 3 layers of lacquer. that should make it pretty glossy! just test the paint before you buy it though because it may not be as dark black as you were hoping. i got some and it was almost grey
