Re: spoiler painting

What colour is it now its been rubbed down?

I'd have thought one can would be enough.

Depends upon the number of coats needed / wanted.

Re: spoiler painting

Buy 1 more can, as it does normally take around a can and half for like 3 decent coats

Re: spoiler painting

I used about 3/4 of a can for a mk2 sporting spoiler, that was with 3 good coats. Then used about the same again from a can of laquer...

you dont want to be applying it too thickly anyway, anymore than a can is overkill imo.

EDIT: how big are your cans?

Re: spoiler painting

Yeh what tris said. You don't want to apply too many coats also, Don't want it too layered up

Re: spoiler painting

Haha

well kinda did,

his car is the typical saxo blue, but he wanted it gloss back , to tie in with rear tinted lights and black bump strips

Re: spoiler painting

All done, I didnt need all the paint in the end, and it hasn't come up too bad. The paint colour match is pretty poor tho, its much darker than the car but ive got it fitted ended up using no more nails flexible. seems to be stuck okay. will get some pics up tomorrow.
