i want to do some spraying so before doing so i tested if there'd be a paint reaction between aerosol primer and cellulose paint by rubbing on some cellulose thinner and there was a reaction

how can i overcome this, i know something like barcoat is an option, or can i spray i light coat of paint and gradually get thicker with the coats?

any help will be appreciated,

thanks

Aerosol paint doesnt allow anything over the top, even by using barcoat you need to strip the aerosol off or it will lift overtime!

I would prepare it and take your time, then get a good quality 2k paint

Hi Trist, dont panic..

the cellulose thinners WILL strip the primer as its only a 1k product.

try spraying your primer on a scrap bit of tin leave and spray your colour coat over the top. It should be fine, just dont rub it.;)
