Wheel Spacers?

Wheel Spacers?

Didn't realise that motorsportworld place is only in Strathaven.

I'm 15 - 20 minutes drive away from there. Could've just picked them up :p

Hoping they come tomorrow!

Nope! GRRR!

I hate deliveries they never come when they say they will. That's them broken their 2 - 4 days delivery quote, and it's only 20 minutes away. I'll phone them on Monday and ask about it, and even suggest if I could just collect them myself and get my delivery money back.

If it's literally JUST touching the felt lining on the inside wall of the wheelarch, is it possible to just shave the felt away?

Speaking from personnal experience it's not the wheel arch liner thats the problem it's what's behind it - metal!

I first noticed it when I spotted that a hole had been worn away in the liner and I could feel the metal behind there. I knew something was up 'cos whenever I went round a tight bend at speed and the car leaned to one side, the vehicle slowed down and the steering became difficult to control. Added to which I noticed the the tyres were wearing only on the outer edges. So I got some smaller spacers (£80), 2 new tyres (£300) and ground down the offending metal by a couple of mm.

I know it seems like a good idea at the time but hindsight is a wonderful thing (and a lot cheaper). Unlike you I needed the spacers to get the wheels back on the car after fitting some aftermarket brakes on the front.

Was that just your front wheels though?

I'm definetely gonna have enough room at the front, it's the back i'm concerned about!

It's gonna be sooo tight to the wheelarch.

Just the front ones, the rears are fine thanks to the 18" alloys I've got (wider wheels so spacers not needed). Maybe a new set of larger alloys could be another route for you to achieve your aims.

Haha, I'm really not even considering getting new alloys because I had JUST bought these one's straight after I got my Bravo. A lot of work went into fitting them too, so you probably won't see any other Bravo's with the same alloys. (could be wrong though)

They just look superduper because they match my car's paintwork.

Here's hoping the spacers come... TOMORROW... FFS... (n)

2 weeks have gone... and still no spacers.

The guy says they could still be another 2 weeks.

Thanks for recommending this **** LYING company mcjacko1987. (y)

No. But I'm raging at the service i've been given, considering one guy told me they had been shipped then I phoned a week later and another guy said they were still in China...

Lying ass company.

UPDATE:

Just phoned earlier today and the guy says they're finally being shipped from China!

Yayyy! Will post pictures on this thread when I finally have them.
