i was doing some debadgeing lastnight on my mk2 punto.i now have got ghost letters left on the boot.now i need sum t-cut to get rid:bang:.does anyone no any other methods to get rid of the ghost letters:confused: as i dont have any t-cut. plus i started on a door strip (5 door punto) and i was using the hair dryer credit car method(same as how i did the back badges)and the strip came off easy but left loads of access glue behind:mad: realy thick glue aswell, wat a nightmare that was to take off.i had to use a hair dryer and rub with a cloth on my finger.only managed to do 1 strip and thats the back left one.got 3 more to do yet.it took me 2hours to get rid of access glue on just that one.is there an easyer way to do this as my finger is still killing this morning. think its going to blister over cos of the heat of the glue lol. i will be very greatfull for any help on this :)

Get some Auto Gym intensive tar remover on it. Or heat the strips up more and the glue should come off with them. If you have no Tcut goto halfrauds any buy some.

dont t-cut that area only

you will have to the boot at the very least

why the whole boot?

where the badge has been is new paint which has now been brought to the surface. The rest of area is still old paint even if it looks in good condition which will have had years of weathering. It will still be faded slightly even if you think it looks in good condition

If you are just concentrating on that small area only you will always have a paint mismatch, so you need to do all areas so it looks the same and not odd

Its like painting a picture - you dont colour in one part and leave the rest blank.
