Ok, my drivers side door doesn't open!! If I was to sit inside and lock the doors (so the locking pin goes down). Then try to open the drivers door from inside, the first time I pull the handle the pin comes up(as normal), but the second time I pull the handle, nothing happens. When I try to open the door from the exterior handle, the door remains closed as if locked. The handle does not spring back but stays sticking out. I have removed all the screws from the interior drivers door panel and tried taking it off. However the bit by the dash does not slide away and is stuck. I therefore cannot get to the inside without braking the panel. I am sure the problem is not the cable, or the handle. I have a hunch it has something to do with the lock outside. I don't know! I would really appreciate some help! I am trying to get this fixed asap as the car has not MOT and I need it on the road quick! Am I right in thinking this would fail its MOT with this problem? Also it has the air bag light warning come up. Is this a MOT fail? Thanks for your help people
