Hey,

So here I am, almost time to renew my insurance after my 1st year driving, left my car in the uni carpark all day after spending a day out at lectures etc... get back to my car at 23:30 and notice that I have a crack in the windscreen. I got home safely.

Anyway, I am now home shown my parents the problem, and it will no doubt need a full replacement, it's a crack that has webbed out. Not covering the windscreen but around 30CM in diameter.

I was wondering if anyone could recommend the best place for a replacement? or any other ideas. I will also have a check in the insurance if this will not effect my no claims bonus, because if it doesn't I'll obviously do it through that, but any help on places which are good value would be helpful.

im not sure what you have in manchester but we have a company called national windscreens near us that charge about 110 for a windscreen. do you have windscreen cover in your insurance?

They're phoning back later to arrange a fitting time.

it wont affect you ncd on insurance, ring them first as they wont always pay up full if you don't use their recommended screen fitters
