Stoneacre Scunthorpe Paint damage

Never thought of cats, neighbours cat jumps on m bonnet when I get home cause its nice & warm (cat is left out all the time) but dont bother me but I appreciate that it bothers others.

Not defending Stoneacre by the way but just looking at it from another angle.

LOL @ the mental bird & its reflection! :D

Depends what you are commenting on. If a cat did mine it would have had to have done it in the 5 mins my car was in their workshops, oh and it must have been trying to hang onto the bumper as they tried to pull it away which would explain scratches the full length of the top side of bumper under the boot opening from left to right!

By the way- CONGRATULATIONS STONEACRE!

I HEAR THAT RUSTY'S SCUNTHORPE SEAT DEALER HAS TAKEN ON THE PEUGEOT DEALERSHIP YOU WERE SO CONFIDENT WAS 'YOURS'

Lets hope someone else takes on Fiat from you.

COME ON - PERRYS, JORDANS

OOOH BUTLER! THATS MADE MY DAY THAT HAS

So Stoneacre aint the worse?

In reality this an be said of any company/business. Bigger companies (in this case outlets/units sold) will attract more critism for reasons mentioned. To be honest most garages refuse motorhomes due to space required which is unfortunate for the owner who often has to travel long distances for something as simple as a service:(

I use to work in a garage that is a satisfied business and i did not like the guys as they use to take the **** out off the customers not that the customers did no about, and was charging for parts that had not been fitted in the end i did leave, of course we cannot tar the whole industry with the same brush no

You have a conscious which is a good thing. Likewise I can sleep at night knowing at least I done my best (wether I succeeded or not) & didn't rip anyone off, sadly as you quite rightly say not all people are like that.

Stop press --- Going to see Jordans of Witham, Hull re- original paint concerns and it could end up all being sprayed anyway which would sort all the scratches that were courtesy of Stoneacre.

I have not much experience of Jordans, but if you were able to travel a bit further "over the bridge", go up to Williamsons in Driffield - they were a very good, small family firm and I bougt three cars from them, including my first B - £full uk list price from Fiat in 1998:cry: I believe Barry was the bodyshop bloke - and Sharon was the nicest car sales lady you could ever ask for - really!(y)

I never had any problems with Scunny Stoneacre, i've had 4 motors from them, all good deals, test drives and service never a problem (oh and i check to make sure items are changed when they say they have changed them). I've always found the staff to be pleasant and any warranty work/spares orders have been quickly sorted with no problems.
Now other fiat dealers in the area aren't so good, one tried to charge me 6 hours labour for a job that took then 1 1/2 to fix, i'd forgotten to tell them my office overlooks their workshops and timed the job!!!!

Unfortuately there is good and bad in all the trades, you have to go with how you are treated on the day. i always championed small independant garages until i noticed that my mx5 regularly developed faults soon after being MOT'd, never straight away and always something that had become 'loose'.

Sorry you had problems, but i've had the opposite experience, guess i'm lucky!

PS i am not employed or related to anyone employed at Stoneacre.
