Few months ago I went into the back of someone after they cut me up, it left a little dent in the bonnet, nothing bad, apart from closing the bonnet you have to push down quite hard. I was thinking about making a claim, but my excess is £550, and I'll lose NCB, so I didn't bother.

However, I would like to see about getting it fixed, would it be cheaper to get a bonnet and replace it (And re-spray it if need be) or see if I can get the dent taken out.

I've got a 2001 Punto, also, would a 5 door bonnet be different to a 3 door one?

Damn, I was expecting it to be a lot more than £20 for a bonnet.

How easy is it to swap them over? Would it be possible for me to do it? I've got very little experence about cars, so unless its really simple I wont risk it myself.

mite be an opportunity to smooth and badboy the bonnet while repairing it ;)

don't think it's too hard to take off. assuming a few bolts, and a bit of help taking it off?

you need to check that it is definately the bonnet at fault here, it could well be your front panel has gone in slightly which could cause it not to close easily.

i wouls check by loosening the bolts that hold the bonnet in place and move it forward a couple off mm and then retighten them. it could solve the problem

**** easy, you will need an extra pair of hands when lining it up abit. 4 screws thats its(y) if a female can do it.........:yum:

I'm fairly sure it is the bonnet, however I will try that over the weekend.

And wtf is wrong with using PM and not spamming threads?
