Hi All,
Just wanted to tell you about CGL Motor Bodies in Hooton near Ellesmere Port.
A kind young Gent drove into the back of me at a junction, causing damage to the drivers side corner of my rear bumper on my 6 month old Grande Punto, the damage was only really a scratch and a dent but i claimed against the other party on my insurance.
Tesco (My Insurance Company) told me to take it to their approved Bodyshop in my area which was CGL, i dropped off the car for the work to be done, and when i picked it up i could not believe what they had done, firstly there was white specks of polish all over the car, which i could not seem to get off! then i realised that there were massive runs in the paint all over the rear bumper not just on the corner which was damaged. It looked like a three year old had sprayed it. I complained to the bodyshop and to my insurance company. The bodyshop resprayed, it a second time, and to my disbelief it was as bad if not worse, there were what can only be described as stalactites hanging off my rear bumper! So for a third time, they resprayed it, but just as i was about to set off to pick up the vehicle i had a phone call stating that one of the supervisors had noticed that the third paint job was not up to scratch, so the next day for the fourth time! they resprayed it.
The fourth respray was 99% better than the other three, but there were still bits of dust and hairs in the paint, but at this point i just gave up and accepted the work.
Just thought i would let everyone know about this bodyshop, as they were doing big business when my car was there, but i swear they are employing three year old Stevie Wonders to spray their cars.
