thats very good, i wouldnt chance it with fibre glass though, but it looks real nice, i had mince done for £120 inc paint but that was with someone i know and they used metal.

any chance of a bit off a detailed description off how u did it, i dont want a bonnet like that but i need to cover my arches and just wondering the best way to use fibre glass to get the shape

I'll see if I can do a step by step guise to how I did it - i'd imagine it'll be the same no matter which part you're doing..

The only reason I did it was cos I had some fibre glass left over after delocking my car and it worked quite well...

used the sheets that you buy from halfords.. cant remember exactly which is which, but we mainly used the one with loads of loose fibres, rather than the one that looks like a tightly woven dishcloth..

dont know if that helps?

u used fibre glass matting, the dish cloth type stuff would have been easier too mould into shape, u could off also used fleece thats the same sort off thing as the dish cloth stuff

Ta Gaz :)

Well I use the dishy stuff now cos I found out that it holds together much better when it's drippin with resin..

AiR - It wont cost too much to get fixed - so long as you have an angle grinder you can always take the whole lot back off again quite easily..

doing mine in next couple of weeks, can`t be too bad, the welding and fabrication real easy, just got to get someone to spray back in
will let you know how it goes

Mine has just bloody cacked because someone (who shall remain nameless cos theyre bigger than me) didnt shut my bonnet properly and dropped it way too far and hard! so im goin to patch it up and pad the underside with silicone so it acts as a sponging agent..
