Blue & Me - Tech Info and questions and answers

Hi I think as long as its plugged into the blue and me then it works fine, don't quote me on that though, not tried It while plugged in but it works with Bluetooth no problem, have you purchased the adapter yet ? if you haven't let me know

Hey, buying a fiat bravo this weekend. Will be buying the iPhone adapter to play my media from my iPhone 5. My only question is how does the blue and me work when I have my phone plugged in. Can I still receive phone calls though the cars mic and speakers when I'm connected like this?

I haven't purchased it as of yet. Do you supply them? I think they're VERY expenisive considering. Thanks for the reply.

No I don't supply them, I got mine of fiat accessories website was £61, updating the blue and me system is the hardest part but once you know what u r doing its easy !

I have successfully paired an iPhone to the Blue&Me and imported all the phonebook contacts.

I have found the voice activated calling way too unreliable so will stick with the button pressing technique.

However, in reality, I'm only ever likely to call about 4 of those numbers. Is there a way to remove all the contacts that I don't want from the phone book, or some other technique to quickly access the most frequently used numbers?

Not sure if its the way names are stored on the iphone but I found the voice calling reliability when from poor togood by using thename surname first

EG: "Call Bob Smith on Mobile Now" Would fail
"Call Smith Bob on Mobile Now" Would work.

Worth giving it a go before you give up on the voice calling via B&M

My blue and me comes up with no english error, anyone know how to resolve this?? Its a 2011 reg fiat 500 if that helps at all!

Hi there

I have a New Panda and everything also works on the phone front using my HTC One XL. However, the message reader doesn't work either.

Any ideas? The "official" site:- http://www.blueandme.net/blueandme/index.aspx?brand=fga&lang=en#/support/compatibilitaCellulari/ says that the HTC One X is 100% compatible.

Have you researched, asked someone or tried to solve the message reader functionality yourself?

Unfortunately by 100% compatible they actually mean not 100% compatible... I have found a workaround that may help you though.

I have a HTC One and it works great on the Blue & Me on the phone. However when I plug it into the USB port, it's not reading it? I was hoping to get Pandora, GPS etc, to come over the car speakers. I've tried having the progams on the phone started already, not having them started until after I plug it in. Car on and off. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Oh and even though it's still cold here, I'm having a blast with the Arbarth Cabrio! :D

I have an 11 plate punto evo gp and i updated the blue&me firmware to 5.6, my blue&me media can now play music from my ipod Nano(older model) but not my iphone 4s with ios7. I understand there is an adapter for iphones but to quote the fiat website, "If you have a Post 60 Registration Number Plate with the Blue&Me option you can plug your iPod, iPhone or iPad directly into the Blue&Me USB Slot in your Fiat in order to listen to your music through the speakers in your car. This will also allow you to control your music through the controls on your steering wheel and will also charge the device.", apparently i dont need the adapter as my car is Post 60 Registration. so how come i cant play music via my iphone?

If the higher update you can install is 5.6, you have Blue&Me v1: you need the adapter.

If you can install 7.0, unit is v2, no adapter needed.

oh, cheers. cba spending 50 quid then just so it works on my iphone and not just my ipod, ill just carry on using my 16gb memory stick haha

I have a 2013 automatic 500 fiat pop w 1200 miles. When my aux wire is plugged at one end into the car with media chosen on the dash board but not plugged into my 4s phone, it causes static noises. The noise goes away as soon as I plug in my phone at the other end or select radio on the dashboard. Can you experts help me. My old 2005 Sentra used to always have my aux wire plugged in but my phone was hardly plugged and it never caused any static. Is this normal w fiats? Can someone test and let me know the result.

Hello,

Never tried with jack cable.

But why you dont connect it with USB ? In extra you have track control, iPhone charging and digital connection for audio
