Did you do any updates on your k750?
Early versions of the firmware were full of problems regarding bluetooth but the problems were fixed with the updates.

Absolutely I did! I'm a fan of keeping my firmware as up to date as possible which I have done so. It worked a lot better at the start but now ot's just frustrating. Because I now know how well it works with the K800i, it really puts it into context hoe poor and unreliable the K750i was for me.

Anyone else had problems with the K750i bluetooth?

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

It's always personal choice but I won't use Sony-Erricson phones. Ever since they were Erricson were taken over by Sony, they seem to be marketing led and rush to get stuff out there. Bluetooth sync with a computer always a problem, some not sending texts, some keyboards failing. I had nothing but trouble with them having been an Erricson fan for years with no problem. Please don't all write and say yours is great though, they seem to be getting a bit better now. You shouldn't really be forced to upgrade software to get it to work, they should have got it right before going to market. Hmm, shades of Microsoft.........

Trust me any problems will have something to do with the car as well as the phone. Microsoft not sticking strictly to the RFC spec for Bluetooth etc will be the main problem. But yeah things should be researched properly before releasing a phone.

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

just a post to say I picked up a Sony Ericsson P990 today and - in contrast to my P900 - all seems to be working sweetly. I've not yet had opportunity to try the message reader out as I've not had any texts... but all else went smoothly. Oh, apart from the update, that is, but I think I read somewhere that there maybe isn't one yet? The lady said something about server error...

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

Does anyone use a Creative Zen with thier B&M system? I can't get mine to syncronise with the media player :(

Blue&Me - italian language!

Just came back from Dealer and tested my car.

I realized that Blue&Me girl speaks to me on Italian laguage and as i understood it recognizes only italian voice commands

I don't understand italian at all! By the way user manual is on English!
And of course i expected to have Blue&Me with English voice too!!!!

I'd be very happy if somebody can advise me what to do.

Thanks in advance:worship:

Re: Blue&Me - italian language!

Your dealer/service should have the original Blue&Me ROM in English on a CD. So they can reinstall Blue&Me for you in another language. I asked my service the other day, and they were like  (because my speaks Italian as well, buy my Italian is quite good). ;)

Thanks! I hope it will be easy (without replacing the hardware)!

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

I'm about to buy a new phone: Qtek 8500 (also known as HTC StarTrek). Since the phone is not listed on the Blue&Me phone list, I wonder if anyone has tried this phone, and if so how does it work with Blue&Me (most of the Windows Mobile phone works fine with Blue&Me, but you never know). Thank in advance.

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

Yes like you say the 'telephone call' side of things works good BUT the problems start to happen when you want to transfer the phone book numbers or get the system to read aloud sms texts.

Just an update. I bought the phone (Qtek 8500). Beautiful, and great phone. It works nice with Blue&Me. Copied the phonebook in a minute. Of course the SMS reader doesn't work, but hopefully it will work soon with the possible upcoming update.

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

Am I dreaming or have I read somewhere that a future update for Blue and Me is sat nav/ GPS??

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

No, you are not dreaming. ;) Yeah, there should be an update in the near future which makes simple GPS navigation possible with Blue&Me. I tried to get info on this, but haven't received any info. If I remember correctly, it will be something like turn-by-turn navigation which is downloaded via cell phone. Would be much better though to have an additional USB GPS receiver and a software update.

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

update.....

samsung e900 works fine with calling and pairing and you can send the phonebook all as one, but the message reader i dont think works

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

FYI,

Sony Ericsson 850i.
Pairing Ok.
Phonebook almost Ok. Takes a few minutes to download.
SMS Messages Ok.

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

Nokia 5300 (in red, like my exotic red).

Does pairing, transfers the address book and voice works fine. Identified on the phone as a car, can make a profile change (for ringtones, etc).

Haven't tested the SMS reading yet.

I have a question, I placed the SMS reader update on a USB stick... The car doesn't "remove" this update after it run it once ? It keeps "trying" to update, and at the end asks me about removal -I then reallized, I have to delete the files in my pc...

Is this true ?

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

I dont even bother with blue and me as I am yet to speak to someone who can make out what I am saying, had my car since about July 2006 is it possible there is a better firmware?

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

Pedroleite - you should copy the SMS reader update to your USB stick, and once it has flashed the car's firmware, you can remove it and delete the files on your PC. The Blue&Me won't delete the files on your USB stick. Does that help?

Absolutely.

I was baffled by the audio message... it beeps on the end (a lesser beep than the voice recognition one) and I thought it did delete files if I confirmed :bang:

The bad news is that Nokia 5300 doen's read SMS messages, but transfers the entire addressbook at once, and does the usual calls :)
