Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

@Dharmabhum, if you didn't receive a manual for that with your car then go back to the dealer and ask nicely. If they refuse then insist on it. (Assuming you brought it from new, otherwise they may be able to order you one for a price). The only B&M Nav manual I could find for you is here (click).

@Paul, if the light remains on isn't it trying to tell you there's a problem? (I don't think that's at all related to Blue&Me)

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

molto grazie gary. i appreciate the effort. i'll see if i can dig one up in italian now!

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

Hi how does the ice-link work with the blue & me system - can you operate the ipod through the steering wheel controls?

doe it affect anything else?

if this is the best solution then i might just go for it - I like the B&M system but cannot get albums to play in order - have turned off the shuffle but it makes no difference - it is so frustrating!!!

Hi their hope theirs some one in here who can help I just got my new GP Active Sport 1.4 and I can't get my phone book to load on the blue & me I have samsung d500 I have tryed via my phone but every time I try to send I can't find my blue & me:bang: I have seen that some loaded theirs via the usb port please can you tell me how to do this or any other info you wish to add. My Hubby had no problems loading his phone he has a Nokia 6233 and it loaded the phone book right away. I have even got the media player to work and also want to no if at a later date if I will be able to put sat nav on it.

@ Gary, My radio works, cd works, I can change volume, track on cd, and source for the radio on the steering wheel. Nothing happens when I connect my ipod. The phone part doesn't works at all. When I press the windows button or the the button that allow me to go manually to the menu for the blue&me nothing happens either. I tried pairing but the program to do it just doesn't work. Thank you.

@Tania, I wish I could help but it sounds like its beyond me. If you got your phone to pair in the past then I think it's down to your dealer to perform a complete reset on the system. Not having an ipod I can't help you on that front either. Why not buy a USB memory stick instead? It's cheaper and much less hassle. Sorry. :-(

@Carol, I don't think the D500 can download its phonebook to Blue&Me. Time to change your phone! I found this link on the Fiat site that says you can still pair the phone and use the mic/speaker functions of the car (but not dial from the phonebook).

@ Gary. The ipod worked fine before the battery crisis. Thank you for your help (y). I will take it to the dealer.

Hi I downloaded the messenger reader software download onto a memory stick just as it said in the instrutions loaded in the usb port this morning and everything now has gone mad lol my phone connects to b me then it asks again on my phone if I want to replace B Me with Blue me can the Blue and Me be reset back and how is this done I'm getting so mad :bang: with it all think they should sit and show you how the thing works when you buy I have computer experiance I hope to upgrade my phone to the d600 I just hope the darn thing works and uploads my phone book tryed different methods to do this but not getting any ware with it and thank you Gary for your reply Carol

@Carol, if you're going to get a new phone for the purpose of compatibility then my personal thoughts are to steer clear of Samsung and get a Sony Ericsson. Sony's seem to have the highest level of compatibility with Blue&Me followed by Nokia.

Hi to you all I need more information on the messenger reader has any one got it to work yet Carol:slayer:

It does work with some phones. You need to be more specific. What phone would you like to use with Blue&Me?

Works good with SE W300i. My only problem is: when the phone & B&M connects, the phone always asks "Allow B&M to use the phone?"...it works as a hands-free kit but it can't start sync the phonebook till I push YES on the phone. But it'not the B&M's fault, it's the Sony's. It will be better if I could told the phone to always trust B&M and don't ask.

Works like a charm. Except the Message Reader. ;)

I can confirm the HTC Touch Cruise also works fine, but like the Touch, the Message Reader doesn't :(

Anyone know if/how Fiat can be contacted to release a new Message Reader fix for these phones?

I wish someone did know how to contact Fiat or what they are doing about this. I have iPhone and it does my head in that controls are there, phone works (well apart from how the 'Woman' interprets my requests LOL) and although the controls there the message reader will not work.

Does anyone know if Fiat normally releases future update plans or how often they update phones for Blue&Me?

I am assuming it is Fiat, not phone manufacturer we need to hound?

Thanks

Yes, Fiat ought to be releasing support for newer phones, but I don't know if they are obliged to. Probaby not.

Looking at the list on the website, it seems pretty out of date. Surely the way phones communicate over Bluetooth can't be changing that much anyway?

It's a pity as the message reader worked well with my Sony K800i, and was useful on occasion.

The only word that my B&M lady has with me is 'Yes'! Weird that it is such a simple word that it should have trouble with.

Any dealers reading this know how we can badger Fiat to release a new fix?

Is it possible to hang up by saying something at Jonny's Mrs (the blue&me lady)? I have tried cancel but that does not work. Ta.

I read a couple of days ago about changing the volume of the B&M lady. How do you change it permanently so it doesn't need adjusting each time?
