Blue & Me - Tech Info and questions and answers

Hi! I'm new. I have a Fiat Bravo and my Qtek S200 doesn't work the SMS reader with the Blue&Me Nav.

Do you know about it?

Thanks

Unfortunately, SMS reader doesn’t work with Windows Mobile OS powered phones. I had a Imate JAMin (it’s basically a Qtek S200), and a Qtek 8500, and now a T-Mobile MDA Touch (HTC Touch), and none of them works with Blue&Me's SMS reader. Here is a nice discussion about it (translated from Italian): link

Thanks, I spoke with my Car Dealer and they don't know if in the future there will be an update and it'll work.

I have exactly the same problem. Autoplay seems to do nothing. Hope it's fixed in the next update!

Use voice command and say "stop"

Problem solved - the media player won't play again unless you select it from the menu.

I don't think that the current generation of Blue&Me will see such an update. Maybe the next generation of Blue&Me. But you know, I'm fine with the way Blue&Me works with Windows Mobile powered phones. Basically every function works, apart from the SMS Reader.

Bad news, but I don't understand how a Microsoft sofware dont works with Microsfot software. It works fine, but the SMS reader should works.

I thought that Blue&Me will have updates and reviews.

There are small updates/patches available only from your dealer (if your dealer has idea about it, because mine has no clue...). It's also annoying that the Auto-Update feature of Blue&Me still doesn't work (via the phones GPRS/EDGE connection). What is so difficult firing up those updates servers!

Anyone on here know about the Blue&Me function? I want to replace the headunit and I'm not sure if the bluetooth mechanism is in the headunit itself, or the same place as the USB connector in the glovebox. If its in the headunit I'll just have to buy a new headunit with bluetooh compatibility, but if know I'ld be able to just hook up a cheaper (but good quality :)) headunit.

Cheers (y)

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

1. Press the phone key while parked up, go to settings and then pairing. Your Blue&Me Biatch will tell you to scan on your phone for new devices and then display the pin on your LCD Display. Once your phone finds "Blue&Me" try and pair it and it will ask for the pin just type it in and then its done :D. It may then try to copy your phone book its hit or miss weither it works or not. Works perfect on my Sony Erricson W800i

2. Yes only files it will play are Mp3 and WMA not dirty Apple format.

Hope that helps (y)

It play's WMA also. It plays any format that Windows Media Player plays.

I also need to know if the bluetooth unit is incorporated into the head unit or located elsewhere as my bluetooth functionality has died. Any clues anyone?

Managed to get my bluetooth working again by removing and re-inserting all the glovebox fuses.!!!!

A couple of days back I got no bluetooth functionality as well and the radio display showed aux instead of media player.
I took it to the dealer where they did a proxy alignment and it was ok for a day. When it got stuck again, I removed the negative terminal from the battery and this seemed to do the work better. It has been a few days now that it is ok...

I had thought about the battery negative terminal but knowing my luck with this car, was worried that I would do more harm than good. Good to hear it worked for you. I'll perhaps try that myself should the problem return.

A kind of reset they do with the examiner.

Rebooting the car by cutting the power had minimal negative effects.
I had to reset the date and time..
Trip A and Trib B got reset...
And the media library was rebuilt ( actually this was a good think )

The radio even kept the settings and radio stations.
All the settings in the car's menu were kept.

Cheers, sounds like a proxy realignment may be an expensive waste of money for anybody out of warranty, more like a poxy realignment of your wallet. Looks like a battery disconnect could be a good starting point when trying to cure any type of electrical system fault. Has worked for me in other cars.

FYI on Apple iPhone

The apple iPhone will work with the GP bluetooth hands free, although it often disconnects and reconnects seconds later and it makes a loud noise when you dial out. I know this cause I got the iphone on friday and tried the hands free this evening.

Does anybody have any experience of connecting a Motorola RAZR2 V8 to Blue&Me. It pairs up first time no problems, but when I leave the car and get back in it automatically connects then after a few minutes it disconnects and says No Phone, I then have to delete blue&me from the phone and delete all on blue&me then pair up again. This happens I each time I get back in the car. It works fine with a Motorola KRZR.
johnrtaylor I have a RAZR2 v8 and with my car (Alfa 159) does exactly the same thing!!! I've got my car a few days ago and this was driving me crazy! :bang: I tried all sort of workarounds, but no success! Any idea, anyone?
Thank you.

I have tried everything I can think of but still have the problem. I have even checked the Motorola site for updates to the V8, unfortunatley there are none. My Motorola KRZR works fine with Blue&me and the V8 works fine through my Garmin Nuvi 660.
