Re: Iphone and blue and me

Has anyone tried the HTC Touch/T-Mobile MDA Touch phone with Blue&Me? I'm planning to get one. There wasn't any problem with my previous Windows Mobile based phones so far, so I'm guessing this one should work just fine as well (apart from the SMS reader).

Does anyone know yet whether there's any further information about Blue&Me Nav and whether you'll be able to receive it on the GP or is a totally new system that has a load of different wiring etc?

I asked the same from an Italian Blue&Me dev guy over the grandepuntoclub.com forum. Blue&Me Nav uses a slightly different dashboard display, and has different wiring, extra buttons. So, unfortunately the current Blue&Me is not upgradeable to Blue&Me Nav. There is no news if Nav will be orderable option on the GPs in the future. Would be great.

By the way, got the T-Mobile MDA Touch. Wonderful phone. Haven't had time to try it with Blue&Me. Maybe over the weekend.

Whenever I have the USB stick plugged in, and sstart teh car, it plays songs from the media player, even if the last thing used was redio or CD. Any way to fix this? Is this just a 'bug' with the software?

Press Windows button, and say "Autoplay off". Or turn off autoplay in the Media Player menu. ;)

Update on my T-Mobile MDA Touch with Blue&Me:

Dial from the car kit: Yes
Reject incoming call: Yes
Redial: Yes
User defined ring tone (kept from the phone): No
Network provider name: Yes
Conference call: No idea, haven't tried it.
Call waiting (second incoming call): Yes
Caller ID as stored in the phonebook: Yes
Contacts download one by one by selection: Haven't tried it.
Contacts download fully automatic: Yes
Transfer the audio out to your phone (private call): Yes
Muting (Local privacy): Yes
SMS reader: No

Using the voice commmand, say "stop". Playback will be stopped and will not start again unless you select media player from the menu.

For all you Windows Mobile users out there please try www.jetwaremobile.com and let me know what happens.. Apparently it gives greater functionality to Bluetooth and "apparently" enables the elusive SMS Reader!! It also plays your Mobile Ringtones over Blue&Me....
Just downloaded it on my O2 XDA Orbit (Upgraded to Windows Mobile 6) so I'll let you know what happens!

Andybody know if its possible to turn up the Mic a little? people are strggling to hear me during a call? been through the menu and manual but cant see it.

Any Ideas?

Back to Blue&Me Nav: it's been confirmed that the Abarth Punto can be ordered with Nav (249Euro). I wonder if that means that the face lifted GP's will have this option as well. Would be great.

I got Blue&Me Nav in my Bravo, and it got one additional button (in the internal light area), called 'Nav' - but I think it is not main reason for upgrade not being possible. I think more important is that my Bravo has different antenna with integrated GPS receiver. I am sure it is cheaper to buy something like Tom Tom One instead of such a upgrade.

I can start navigation without 'Nav' button (just pressing 'Win' key on steering wheel and saying "navigation'). You have to remember to put supplied usb flash drive with maps.

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

Does anyone here know if this "blue and me" is available from Fiat Dealers in Australia?

(Punto Dynamic 1.4. Petrol. 5 Door.)

Cheers!

Re: Blue & Me - Tech Info

I'm sure Blue&Me can be ordered with new GP's in Australia as well. I tried to find info on Fiat.com.au, but the site isn't very user friendly. Give a call to your dealer. ;)

I have the early bluetooth headset, pre blue & me. Just got a free ipod shuffle. Any ideas whether this can be connected directly to the head unit at the rear.

Thanks for the reply (y)

Yeah I agree on your comments on the australian site aswell... When I was first shopping around for a car and I found the Fiat page it was really annoying. But the dealer made up for it thankgod.

Anyway, yeah Ill try calling them some day when I have time and money in the next few months.

Does anybody have any experience of connecting a Motorola RAZR2 V8 to Blue&Me. It pairs up first time no problems, but when I leave the car and get back in it automatically connects then after a few minutes it disconnects and says No Phone, I then have to delete blue&me from the phone and delete all on blue&me then pair up again. This happens I each time I get back in the car. It works fine with a Motorola KRZR.
