Is it for the body computer or for Blue&Me?

A friend used his iPod in the car the other day.

Only way I could change track was on the steering wheel controls, as apose to the radio ones like when you play a CD.

I had a look through the settings but couldn't see an option to allow change of tracks on the radio front and steering wheel controls.

It is for the blue and me convergence unit, different upgrade for different software installed so you have to id the software using examiner before reprogramming

I have just got a new Nokia N95. using Blue and Me the voice system works fine, it will call in and out ok but for some reason when I get a txt message it does not read it. Anyone got any ideas?

had the same problem,
i took it to the dealer and they re aligned it but it came out ok. i had the NO ENGLISH but after the proxy re-alignment all was well, except for the text messaging. i'm trying to update it. i upload the file via the usb stick and it says update complete. but the function still isn't available. is there a more recent sms update?

Please help!! SE K800i works perfectly but my new Nokia N73 connected up fine at first but now I am unable to hear it ringing in car or hear person on other end of phone!! I have checked phone software /firmware etc and it is current and up to date but still nothing any ideas??

working with mobile phones as my job, i wouldn't recommend touching the N73, it has too many issues. have you tried doing the basics and tried pairing it up again with a new pin and removing the old data from the handset?

I know it's a stupid question but it's just an idea.

Appears to be a flaw ridden phone!! but it was an insurance replacement and I fancied a change from SE K800i!! I do quite like the N73 though!!

Yes I have tried re-pairing etc and appears to be ok!! at the minute will keep my fingers crossed though!! thanks for your comments

Iphone and blue and me

Well just got hold of an Iphone.

Seems to work ok with blue and me.

Connects and transfers contacts no problems. However no ringtone via speakers, text messages or provider information im afraid!

Did i mention i have an iphone

A little off topic but what tarrif have you got the i phone on.?

My girlfriend wants one and has been with 02 for a few years now. We were hoping to buy one direct from Apple and put her existing sim card in.

I've got a feeling that 02 have locked the phones down so you're forced to sign up to the more expensive contract for 18 months!!

You may be able to do this.

In the states you can go into the Apple Store, buy an iPhone which comes with a SIM pre-loaded inside take it home. You then activate your phone and sign up to your contract through iTunes. If however you don't do this and use the appications available on the internet you can unlock your phone to work with any network (except 3).

I don't know if it will be the same when the phone is released over here but if it is then you'll be ok as long as you don't mind hacking it and voiding the warranty.

Just to point out if anybody does get an iPhone and hacks it then it's at your own risk and Apple has released a statement that hacked phones may not work when updates are released. That being said I'm after one and intend to hack it!

You betcha baby.

At the end of the day its stable as a good un on firmware 1.0.2 (latest one) and itunes 7.4.2 (latest one). You can install any thirdparty app you like as well. You dont have to update if you dont want to.

Id rarther have a gadget that I can slap any app I like on it then a legit one where you have no control what so ever!

Anywhoo it works in the Gp and looks the nutts!
