hello everyone

I just brought a 2017 doblo tecnico van and has the tomtom live 2 in the dash.
ive been able to pair my phone to the van and also to the tomtom but I am not able to find the van when im trying to pair to the tomtom. I have done a factory reset to the tomtom and tried pairing but still no luck. i have deleted to user data and tried pairing. no luck either. I disconnected the van battery to see if this would help...... nope!
Ive only had the van 2 weeks and was now thinking to send the van back to the dealer as they are a fiat main agent dealer to get them to sort this out. im not sure if this is the tomtom at fault or the van. TBH this is doing my head in as there doesnt look to be a fix for this......

A up date to my problem
I have sent the van back to the dealer the other day and the fiat dealer said that van doesn't have blue&me fitted and that the tomtom cradle is just for charging. This is very odd as older fiat's have blue&me....
Does anyone know where the blue&me unit is mounted if it is fitted.

Hi,

Fiat/Chrysler with TOMTOM produced 2 models of the TomTom2. One had BlueMe the other did not.

Both look exactly the same carry the same TomTom model number 4CS01 it is just the software inside that differs.

I get a lot of owners contacting me for assistance with dificulties pairing up a TomTom2 they have just paid out £100's for because they have a dash socket and cannot get them to pair up on the vehicle. Just because you have a 68R dash socket does NOT mean you have BlueMe system in any vehicle.

The simplest way to check is if your radio will display '''BLUE&ME Voice''' or if you try to pair up your phone it will clearly show ''FIND BLUE ME''' and the BLUEME icon will also likely show on the phone display if you look for the bluetooth connection.................if you do not see BLUE&ME on the phone then you do not have BLUE&ME and will never get a TOMTOM2 Blue&Me to pair up to the vehicle. So just because you have a dash socket does not mean the vehicle was made for a TomTom2 BlueandMe that is where people get confused. You should also see BlueMe on the USB slot and certainly if this not obvious then do check further:bang:

You can still get a non BlueMe TomTom2 with a CRATT2 cradle from Fiat Accesories (silly money) and it will be pre programmed with main marque dealers even Abarth service stations, POI and icons of the Chrysler/Fiat/Alfa vehicles to select, but basically that is all you get so an absolute waste of money IMHO as you can buy a basic TomTom GO LIVE 1000 off ebay for around £10 and cradles for around £35......I have all these available as we use the old basic 4CS01 screens and digitizers to repair damaged TomTom2 BlueMe models as everything is the same apart from the software program.

So don't spend out on a BlueMe TomTom2 :nono: before doing some simple checks especially on any vehicle later than 2016 ish, this includes though 2009-2016 vehicles even if you do have BlueMe installed it may not be at the level of update required to accept a TomTom2 for pairing.

Check before you buy(y) you only need to PM me I will advise exactly what you need to do for your specific vehicle and can provide all the files needed to update a cars software........

The BlueMe integrated with the TomTom2 is a super system despite what some spout off about. I actually find it far better in the 2010 500 we have than what I have in my 2020 Range Rover

What you likely have on a 2017 vehicle is the Connect2 which gives bluetooth connectivity and sits behind the radio......I think this was an inbetween UConnect that again TomTom does the integrated sat nav but as I only deal in the TomTom2's I don't look much what went on later cars

Bye
