Anyone out there able to do me a proxy alignment on my daughters fiat 500 2011? Mileage flashing and no blue and me !!

Hi Stonemason,

I don’t know what area you are in but you just need a garage that has a decent diagnostic machine. My friend in King’s Lynn has a SnapOn machine that can do proxi alignments so any garage with that equipment should be able to sort you out.

Unfortunately when we tried it on my Abarth 500 it didn’t work and only came up with a fault code of U173387 convergence telematic module - missing message.

Does anyone know if this is the same thing as the Blue & Me module and where it is located? This car is my wife’s daily driver and the flashing odometer and lack of Bluetooth button function is a minor inconveniences compared to the dead battery if not driven for a few days ?

My convergence unit ( blue and me module )is behind the left rear interior panel below the speaker, bolted in a cradle which is riveted to the
Inner rear wing.
Mine came up with the same fault code as yours could not find convergence unit.... fitted a new one.... same problem and now been told it could be a fault in the instrument cluster not being able to communicate with the convergence unit ?

Stonemason! Did your new unit have the same part number as the one you took out?

Local dealer offering Panda but it has flashing mileage and no Bluetooth. He was trying to source a module from Italy but, for obvious reasons, has not had any luck. He has knocked some money off because of the problem. I'm not too worried about the Bluetooth connection and could probably live with the mileage flashing but does it also cause battery or other problems ? I don't want to buy it and then have to pay out for a new module from a main dealer. Is this worth a punt or would it be too much trouble ?

Secondly hand module from a scrap car your best bet
They arnt coded to the car so get one same part number then a proxi alligment to correct the flashing and you should be good to go

If the dealers isn’t willing to at least sort out the flashing mileage, what else is he neglecting.

I’m always dubious of dealers who will knock a few quid off quickly to make that sale rather than fix a problem.

Thank you Andy. I was having some doubts about this. It's a local dealer with a good reputation but he does seem very keen to move it on. I think that I may well be better off looking for another one.

have got same issue tried a poxy alignment made no difference. does anybody know if you can change the blue and me unit with any blue and me unit my model no is 51968826 can find plenty other models second hand but not this one also drivers side window will not work changed switch and checked fuses still nowt cetral locking just stopped working changed batteries in remote still not work

Disconnect blue and me and try proxy align in the meantime.

can you use a different blu and me unit than the original one can,t find any second hand with my part number apart from one scrappy who wants £440 + vat

Were you able to solve the problem with your blue&me system ?
I am also having this issue with my blue&me system in my Panda 2013

And i was told by the manger of the delaership that the Blue&me is coded to the car

Hi All - I am having this issue as of today - happened just after the car had gone through the NCT (Irish version of the MOT) - is this related to something they have done or just a coincidence?

Also, solutions on this?
