Afternoon guys. Currently have a 58 plate Grande and I need help!

So the problem is that the Blue and Me display is in Italian and the voice is in English

I've updated from 5.5 to 5.6 through Blue and Me site and it's all installed OK, but display still stayed in Italian

Installed the English language pack but still to no avail

Is this going to dealership job to get it flashed to English or am I missing something? I've scoured the Web but came up with nothing. Most issues same to be around the Italian voice rather than the display.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

How did you resolve that italian stuff?
Hi PKP

This is an old post but it shows the cluster display as Italian which is the cars software the blue me is a different module so can be programmed separately.......the cluster display language can be changed in SETTINGS via the steering wheel buttons or menu buttons, but the blue me language needs to be done via the language files placed on a flash drive and done via the USB..........explain your concern in more detail

I know this is an old thread.
But you are someone else and I guess you wrote what you think and you did not solve the problem and you had never have this problem, right?
It is possible to change the voice language using flash drive files which can be downloaded from the B&M website. But there are no files to download to change the display language. Or you can help with it?

Hi,

We have these problems quite a lot as I assist the BlueMe updates all over the world for cars Fiat and Alfa that want to upgrade to the tomtom2 sat nav and replace the old MagnetiMarelliMAP sat nav which is now experiencing satellite location issues. So if the vehicle has a generation2 module we have to install the V10 level blueandme software....for some reason I don't know if it is something the owner does but after the upgrade quite often the car/van/camper completely reverts into Italian so I have to go through the select language process for the cars display and then provide the files for their selected language on the BlueMe system which can only be done via the USB slot with a flash dive.

For cars between 2007-2009 built that only have a gen1 module I have the better TomTom2 sat navs with BlueMe disabled as these provide a superior sat nav system but cannot be paired up to the car for the other blueme features......those that try to pair up a tomtom2 to an older gen1 module will get pairing failed and often followed by the tomtom switching on and off but this can be corrected back to normal by deleting all previous stored info on the car and the TomTom.

At the moment it does seem finally the Blueandme website itself has been taken down for public access.......
We have saved many files from the updates we have done over the years on Fiats and Alfas but during the update process it appears a unique BlueMe module specific to your vehicle read/write code is extracted and performs parts of the process.
We still have the files to extract this unique script line and the current cars/vehicle level of software if it is at the very latest possible anyway.

We also have the required files to change the language from to English, Dutch or German but never downloaded the other language files.

Currently we have had no response from our local main dealer re any future access or whether main dealers have access still to the site.....this is going to prove critical even for them now as if a blueme module fails it will not be possible to install a new one and update it......

As far as we are aware motor industry manufacturers only have a duty to maintain service for 6 years on parts and as blueandme was replaced by uConnect in 2016 and no further updates after V10 were available by end of 2015 it seems thetime has come for them to end their support.

If we can detect in the downloads we have done the script line where the unique vehicles code is written it may be possilbe to use the update files we have on record and modify the script......without this trying to use the latest updates we have from vehicles we have previously done is just returning error code 10...........

It needs someone with some clout to convince Fiat/Chrysler to keep this website going but not sure what is involved and belive as it was integrated somehow with the TomTom sat navs again it has put an end to being able to update vehicles software to get these working hence a few months ago the TomTom2 sat navs were dumped on the market cheap as now unless your vehicle has already been updated to take a tomtom2 these just end up a basic sat nav 4CS01 GO LIVE which you can pick up second hand for £10 whereas the Blueandme versions Fiat Accessories sold originally at £380

All the electronics on modern cars are going to be a nightmare in the future......we have a friend who has sent his 15 year old Bentley to the breakers as had so much electrical problems it was costing more than the car was worth and even dealers were struggling to find the problems.....we had a Jaguar that had parasitic battery drain overnight changed many parts and identified it in the engine management circuit by removing fuses one ny one but new parts fitted failed to fix problem so suspected somewhere a harness issue....after over £2000 spend at main dealer further investigation was told would have to be charged on an hourly basis to find the fault......in the end we dropped in a relay circuit that cut out the line when ignition switched off just to stop the overnight drain............wonders of all the complicated electronics in the cars and glad we mainly have a fleet of classics
