Hi there!

I recently bought a USB plug in blue and me adapter for a fairly ludicrous sum for my '56 GP sporting.

However when I first came to set it up I needed to install an update, I guess the operating system in the car may well be 10 years old- well in advance of iPhone anyway.

I'm running an iPhone 5C with IOS 10, does anyone know which update I need or could link me the most recent one? I'm confident that I know how to install it.

Thanks in advance

Use this link: http://www.blueandme.net/blueandme/index.aspx/index.aspx?brand=fga&lang=en#/support/download/ Then choose make/model and follow the instructions. That will give you latest update for blue&me. It's also best to have two seperate USB's handy for the procedure.

Thanks!

I've updated the software and the dash read complete, however when I plug my phone in I still can't get the car to recognise it...

Do I need to sync it with the car or anything similar?

Hi

I've followed all the steps and unfortunately have had no luck. The phone seems to work with the bluetooth calling function, however I still have no charging function or music playing.

I downloaded the file from the Blue&Me website as was kindly linked above. I then put the USB in the car, which put a new file on the USB. Next I uploaded that file to the Blue&Me website and it directed me to the correct update version: 5.6. I went back to the car, the dash read updating and then complete. Still no luck!!! Perhaps my Blue&Me adapter is faulty?

The phone seems to recognise that its plugged in initially; buzzes like an iPhone normally does when charging. However after a few seconds it takes itself off charge!!

Any other ideas? Really not sure what I'm missing here!

Thanks in advance

Jack

Believe it's actually an issue with IOS 10. Have seen on a couple of forums people having issues since updating including myself!

I'm going into the one on the left- where's the other port? And yes I suppose it could be an issue with the software on the phone!

Thats the port you want.

The earlier ones (in my case on a 56 plate), had an additional USB port on the B&M unit at the top of the glovebox which is for dealership use only. Odd that there's a microsoft sticker right next to the port , and the manual tells you to use the hidden one to the left of the glovebox

At least you are using the right one. Have you tried using a USB key with some mp3's on it to ensure the port is operational? If it is working, then it could be a phone compatibility issue with B&Me.

I'll be honest I haven't tried just a USB yet, that said I have used one when installing update data in the car's OS and didn't seem to have any issues with that...

I'll keep playing with it and will try a standard USB.

Thanks for the help as always
