Just got a GP Sporting (2006) and I'm having an strange problem with B&M
B&M only seems to work after an approx 30 minute journey
I have a USB stick plugged in and sometimes when I'm just getting in from work, the radio switches to the USB and starts playing - I can also use the 2 steering wheel buttons (voice & phone) when this happens
The first time this happened, I was able to pair my phone but as I said for the first 30 min or so of every journey, B&M doesn't work
If I switch off and restart again immediately, I still have B&M
Any ideas? Cheers

What software version of B&M? Have you tried updating it to the latest (5.6 in your case)?

Have you tried pulling the fuse that supplies the B&M unit (or the battery neg terminal) for a number of minutes to force a reset?

what size of USB stick are you using, how many tracks?

Its a 4gb stick, maybe 50 or so tracks

It's difficult to check the version, actually. Easiest way is to go to www.blueandme.net and get the upgrade package (yours will be a gen1 unit, so need the v5.6 upgrade) - follow the instructions when you download the zip - basically extract the contents and place them on an empty USB stick formatted to FAT32.

Then put the USB into the car, disable bluetooth on your phone (so it doesn't try and connect), turn on the ignition - DON'T start the car and watch the display, it should say installing, then eventually will say complete. It'll take a good 5-10 mins to install; don't turn the ignition off in that time until you get the 'complete' message (and voice).
