Hi,

I put a load of music albums on to a USB stick yesterday and inserted it into the slot in my glovebox. Then when I went to media player and chose random... nothing! So I tried artist, album, genre, folders etc and nothing?! The music is all in folders by album. Does it have to be all in there in to folders so just one massive jumble of songs?

Thanks

rodduz, have you tried pressing the windows button on the steering wheel and saying, "PLAY?"

Also try saying "FOLDERS" and see if the names of the folders appear on the dash display. If they do you can use the up and down buttons to select which folder you want to listen to.

Be patient...

I have an 8GB USB stick wiht around 1500 tracks on it - changes or additons can take up to an hour to register. You just have to wait while the on-board computer updates...

I had a similar problem when i first plugged my ipod in. 500 songs, only 10 played on a continuous loop! After some serious head scratching I worked it out:

Make sure the songs on your MP3 player are in a format supported by the system. Mine were all AAC's, and the Blue & Me doesn't support them, so I had to change them all to MP3's. Problem solved, happy days.

I have checked this, all is fine in that department. Going to give the thing a chance to download the song names etc. THere's nothing in the folders. I might also just put all the songs on not in album folders
