Hi Just a query really, can anyone confirm either way if there is a problem with leaving the usb stick in the socket permenantly for use with the media player.
My Stick has a little LED light and stays on when the car is off, im not sure if its enough to drain the battery but wondered what all you other guys do ... ? may have to go get a diff stick without an led.

Hi

I always leave my USB stick in the socket as i hardly listen to music any other way other than Media Player and i've never had a problem doing it that way. Can't say if it does/doesn't use any power by leaving it in, even if it does it can hardly be very much and i think you would have to leave your car for weeks and weeks before the battery took any serious punishment.

If you keep taking your stick out the socket after every journey the Media Player will lose the track at which the engine was switched off, not to mention probably doing a bit of damage to the housing on the USB socket.

Hope that helps you
