I've noticed once my iphone 3G is plugged into the usb socket via B&M adapter in my 500, any sound (i.e. text message alerts, satnav voices) are disabled. Is this normal and something I will have to put up with whilst the phone is plugged in?

no all the sounds still work on mine, unless its in silent mode. maybe check that before you plug your phone in

Actually, the B&M does a rather neat thing...once the iphone gets plugged in, it seems to play music automatically(bad point). But all the satnav app voices still get broadcast through the cars speaker system. The music gets quieten automatically when the app speaks :slayer:

But still havent worked out how to have the app sounds via car speakers without actually playing music...

hmm i havent tried that one. i will next time however!

i like that it plays the music when you plug it in, less buttons to press. unless you didnt have any songs queued up
