I received my car (Punto Evo Eleganza) 4-5 weeks ago, With B&M TomTom.

When connecting the TomTom to the Blue&Me system in the car, the TomTom comes up with "No Bluetooth Available".

I sent it back to the dealership the following week, and they looked at it, couldnt fix it & contacted Fiat directly & Fiat replied saying test the tomtom in other Evos, so they did and the TomTom unit works in other Evos but not mine so 3-4 weeks ago they ordered a new Blue&Me "control unit", and said they'll ring me when its arrived.

Well, after 2 weeks of ordering the part I rang them to find out if i had been forgotten about and they said the part hasn't arrived, they dont know when it'll be in & they'll call me when it is.... now its another 2 weeks later, and i've heard nothing.

So first off, is this "No Bluetooth" problem other people have had? (directed at people related to Fiat dealerships, as i know consumers dont know) + if so, how did they fix it?

And secondly, is it normal to leave me waiting 4 weeks for a part to arrive or am I being fobbed off?

Update 2: New B&M unit installed & a day at the dealership, Satnav still doesnt connect to the blue&me in my car (but it does in other Evos).

Now awaiting a new TomTom unit.

Starting to think i should of wrote a journal, instead of bumping this post but never-mind at least it'll be a result on Google/ff if the issue comes up for anyone else.

Update 3:
Had a phone call from the tech guy at fiat dealership today, and was told to try the PIN Codes "4444" or "5555" instead of what was on screen. - Still no fix, cars booked in for the day on Friday & tech guy is going to talk to TomTom directly while playing with the car.

I'm guessing you're referring to a certain dealer on Bath Road, Blank?

If you get nowhere, try Dando's in Chipping Sodbury who are now Fiat dealers. Also, Pewsham Garages are good.

(y) bad experience?

its going in tomorrow... if they don't fix it or have a replacement satnav for me, I might try another dealership.

Will try Dando's, thought that place was really small though? unless they've got a garage around the back or something.

Pewsham Garage, is abit far out & i didnt particularly get on with the salesman... he didnt seem interested in offering me a punto evo when i enquired, just pointed at it & buggered off :p.... though, MrBoney seems to have had good experience with them so maybe if Dando's cant sort it.

if Dando's is half decent ill check them out :)

are you pairing your phone to blue and me first then searching for devices from sat-nav?

originally yes, but during all the playing around ive done + they've done, currently the phone isn't paired and Eco-Drive isn't installed, and the satnav still wont work.

Really makes no sense to me, short of being able to see what they can see when they plug it all in i'm pretty left out of the loop from here on in (n)

Something like that! Several friends have had issues with them (me included). We bought our Bravos from Pewsham and Mum her Panda too and the salesguy whose name begins with C was pleasant to deal with. Steve the service manager is also really helpful (he did a good deal on the first service). Mum's in Calne so I'm over that way fairly often.

A friend has had his Punto 1.3Mjet serviced at Dandos and said the service was good. Sometimes the small dealers turn out better than the big shiney ones (and there's enough of those in Bristol).

Nice one Blank - glad they eventually sorted it.

Yeah me too, though Fiat/TomTom really have to unleash some updates to bring this thing into the worth-while extra for the car.

Dial Pad - Good.
Trip computer - Handy.
Eco Drive - Interesting.

No sat nav voice over speakers (I was very disappointed)

No worthwhile voice control system (satnavs built in is fine, but doesnt connect with the cars internal mic etc, so you end up shouting multiple times.)... the only B&M Voice Command is "Satnav" which brings up TomTom's touch-screen menu, then you can scroll through options with the steering wheel controls... but seriously, this can be done in a fraction of the time in a much safer way by just tapping the screen. (Disappointed by this too, as the device itself has great voice control, just a crap built-in mic.)

No radio/music/media integration.

and the device itself, i think it'd be nice if it had the option to come on/off via ignition.

But, its nice not having wires trailing... just needs some B&M/TomTom updating to make it a worthwhile investment.
