I have just taken delivery of a Fiat punto Evo with the Blue&me TomTom and dashboard docking system.

Everything works well with synchronisation between the cars blue and me and the unit. Steering wheel controls of the sat nav and trip A,B and instant dispayed on the TomTom.

I have subscribed to Live services @£7.99 per month (for now) which updates the fuel prices and safety camers when docked to the PC. But I cant get any traffic data on the unit by any means at all.

Does anyone know what unit model this is? On the Tomtom site it identifies it as a 950/950 live.

On the device itself there is an icon to turn wireless data on or off so is it wireless?
There is also a Tomtom live icon which opens up a sub menu of Fuel, Cameras and Traffic but non of it works wirelessly and the traffic icon opens a dialogue which tells you to connect an RDS-TMC unit but there is no connection port for such a unit only the tomtom docking port.

So there doesnt seem any way to get Traffic at all on this device which is bad 'cos it cost £287. Even Copilot on my iphone gets traffic, fuel etc and that only cost £26.

I phoned Tomtom but they didnt know the answer and are going to escalate it but havent heard back yet. They told me to press the "My TomTom acount" button on the prefernces screen to activate services but there isnt one!

The only way I can update so far is by docking with my PC (TomTom Home) and that is only for fuel prices and safety cameras. (voices pictures icons etc)

Any help greatly appreciated thanks.

I havent played with this yet, as i have problems getting the bloody thing to connect with Blue&Me to the car.

I took it as a given as it has "Wireless" button that it'd receive wireless stuff, ill play with it once i get everything sorted blue&me wise (waiting for dealership to phone up saying they've got the part in.)

Dont expect too much help on here with B&M TomTom at the moment, hardly anyone has it right now nevermind played with it. Just because theres only a very few people that have the car right now (2-3 forum active people, myself included, and only I have the TomTom option (i think)... but i'm sure if anyone can help they certainly will, just if they don't, there not being ignorant we just have a small knowledge base on it atm.

All this month is bulk delivery/hand over for Evo's so we should get a population boost within the next couple of weeks.

Out of interest & slightly off topic, What Evo did you go for? :)

P.s, pls keep us updated if you hear anything back from tomtom, this is certainly something i'm interested in & i'm sure this will come up again in the near future if there is a problem or software issue.

Hi There Blank. I've got the Sporting in easy listening white. Looks good with the 17" Smoked alloys. Very happy with it, goes like stink for a 1.4 but does supp it a bit then.

Getting 32.9 mpg and eco index of 61 on Eco-Drive. Need to work on that mpg. Dont see it ever reaching the combined 50 mpg, might struggle to see the 38.7 urban I think.

Iphone bluetooth seems a bit flakey, seems to lose bluetooth connection after a call but I'll give it time yet.

Would be nice to get all the TomTom functions working though.

Will keep you posted.

Sporting, nice always thought the Sporting looked good in either white or red, I've got the 105 Eleganza, 33.7mpg, Eco Index 53... looks like I need to reel in my left foot abit though kinda difficult when im surrounded by dual carriageways & overkill roundabouts, foot down to hit 60-70, stop, foot down again, but like you've said i dont ever see it reaching the 49mpg, 35-36 is probably the best i can hope for.

the 105 goes fairly well for a 1.4, but some times i do wish there was abit more kick to it for more boyracer fun. That said i dont think the multiair engine is ment to "kick" just delivers good power all through the range.....i've not tried it on the motorway properly yet though.

Hope the iphone sorts itself out, i'll be looking at getting one in a couple of months when the new one launches as my phones falling apart right now, and despite it being a "Windows Mobile" phone the bloody thing still doesnt hang up calls with my "Windows Mobile" stickered Blue&Me system! :bang:

And yeah id imagine the TomTom should have live traffic, ill certainly test mine when its hooked up to my car properly, just hope fiat phone me soon! tis annoying not having it connect to blue&me properly.

Just an update for anyone with same problem. Tomtom got back to me and the Blue&me unit is NOT Live so the only way to get traffic is not to use the dashboard mount which defeats the whole point of this integrated device. You have to use a windscreen mounted plug in Rds unit. (n)

Well, that sucks :( you'd of expected the car to have everything included to run it if it comes with the car and has the button on the satnav screen etc
