hey guys, git my grande punto sporting on sunday... paired phon etc, seems to run ok but...

had a few people say its hard to hear me when im in the car..

so far ive:
turned bluetooth up on the phone
restored phone to 2.2.1 with no Jailbreak


anyone else had similar problems?

Yep!
Blue and Me is a nice idea, but in reality it lacks functionality and practicality!

Mine was so quiet with my iPhone I had to shout stupidly loud to be heard- pretty embaressing in a traffic jam.

Got an aux cable fitted now, much better as I can play music and browse it with the iPhone interface (and with 16GB of music its much easier than on the steering wheel..) - when a call comes in it plays through the speakers and uses the iPhone microphone

Bit annoying! sure its a phone / B&M issue rather then the B&M tho, will try my blackberry and see how that copes.

Not too fussed about a cable, I dont use the iPhone for music, i use my iPod for that..

Hopefully iPhone OS 3 will bring some fix's!.. anyone tried the beta's of the new OS yet?

Cant say i have had to many probs really my iphone work fine on there. could it be a faulty B&M mic ? or do you need to turn up the AUX vol ?

dont think its the mic as the woman can hear my commands ok and im not shouting... some people are saying they can hear me fine too.. its odd.

How do i turn the AUX volume up?

I just upgraded my iphone to 3.0 and now it works great, my contact list now show on the car menu, plus the voice quality is great.

I would recommend to take the latest OS 3.0 ;-)

My volume issue was sorted by fiat. But ye. My 3G ran great with os 3.0. 3Gs seems even better!

Hi OLZ, do you mean you can hear the music you have on iphone on your blue&me? what kind of aux is that? where do you put in on the car?

If you want to listen to an ipod through the blue and me set up you need to either change your ipod library in itunes to mp3 instead of aac or you can buy an adapter from Fiat that plugs into the B&M usb and then plug the ipod/iphone into that. About £80 for a pack with 2 in i think? Although I have just read elsewhere on the forum that they come singular. Sooo much to read for a newbie

Is the thread you need to read and join in the group buy on. So far everyone is majorly happy with the Adapter apart from a few niggles which are to be sorted shortly by FIAT.

I have a strange problem with Blue and Me and my iphone. I have 1600 contacts which seems to be too many for Blue and Me to handle.

Iphone doesn't allow contacts to be beamed one by one, therefore I came up with a solution. I set up a Google Contacts account with just my key contacts, put these on my iphone and transfered these to Blue and Me (after clearing everything else out and re-pairing). This worked until I restored the full 1600 contacts the iphone. Somehow the iphone and blue and me managed to transfer all 1600 contacts on their own initiative without me requesting the phone book to transfer. Does anyone know how to stop this happening. I need all my contacts on my phone, but really only need about 40 of them on Blue and Me.
