So... Ive quit my job, and am currently pursuing my net radio station and promoting it more, then realised that my god I dont have any bass in my car for all the mad dj sets I get... Now heres the thing I want to get a nice duel 12" setup in the boot but dont want to loose the B&ME or the steering wheel functions... I dont mind if i have to go to a duel din setup with a new surround.

What headunits can I upgrade to so that I wont loose the functionality of the B&ME? Bear in mind im in Australia :)

Edit: Can a mod or admin fix the title to be "Changing" not "Chaning"

Unfortunately, any head unit you upgrade to you will lose B&M functionality. I have been on the hunt for ages for a way around it. (Even cutting into the wiring loom to use the standard mic with an aftermarket bluetooth kit!) In the end I gave up and bought an aftermarket head unit with ipod and bluetooth built in. There are a fair few around that are reasonably priced.

You can get lots of decent headunits which have iPod/mp3 player functionality as well as decent bluetooth kits. I had a DEH-P55BT in my 406 and I really liked it. It would have worked with my steering wheel controls had I purchased a cable for for it but I didn't get around to it and the car is now dead so it's slightly pointless now!

Hardly top of the range but it did the job very well. Buy a comparable P series Pioneer head unit and you'll be alright.
