You cant have two items plugged into the usb connectors, the one at the top is for dealer use only and is a direct link on to the circuit board, the other is a remote link which is also connected at the same point. Try restoring defaults on the radio and see if it will recognise it, if not disconnect the batery and try again. If not dealer visit.

my ipod works fine when i disconnect the eco drive though...
 

Think ive solved it, well kind of.

have my ipod plugged in but not my flash drive, but the computer still says 'ecodrive on'.

plugged my flash drive in for 5 mins and then plugged it into my laptop and all the data had been downloaded, so it must store the information for a couple of days previously.

not the best solution, but least they are both working now...
 
Of course it says Ecodrive on, because Blue&Me can store up to 8 hours Ecodrive data onto its own memory. Once you plug in an USB stick the recorded data will be copied to the USB stick.
