G'day,

I'm looking to buy a cheapish pre-paid phone that will talk nicely with the B&M lady. The K530i is on my shortlist - has anyone had any problems using this phone? Any other suggestions welcome.

Thanks in advance

I've got a pair of K530s (on 3) working in a pair of Bravo's. K800 also worked fine - its just the newer SE's and most recent software upgrades that don't work. Tread carefully when upgrading the software - if it ain't broken, don't fix it!

you can downgrade actually just as long as the phone is about 6 months old - old being since the launch date. it does take a fair bit of technical know-how and usually a few quid spent via paypal though.

i imagine your local 'dodgy dave' would be able to do it if you ask them nicely, and knew what version of the phone software you wanted to have.

i've changed the software on my phones in the past (k750, k800 and now k850) ususally only to newer versions but there would have been no reason i couldnt downgrade it if i so wanted.

It's not all the newer SE phones as the W980i works fine and this is one of the latest phones.
